About The Position

GovCIO is hiring a Senior Communications Analyst to support program management, public relations, strategic planning, and reporting activities for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The position supports the Washington Field Office on-site, executing government taskings, strategic communications, Chief of Staff support, presentation development, documentation management, and other programmatic needs. The role connects with centralized communications specialists who also support the program from headquarters.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of work experience; two years of experience may be removed for a master’s degree.
Ability to attain and maintain DHS clearance.
U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

Provide thought leadership on visual design, marketing materials, strategic plan composition, and externally facing mission documentation.
Collaborate with mission and field office leadership, external organizations, and internal program teams to collect and compile information for timely responses to requests and ad hoc assignments.
Facilitate clients’ needs, issues, and challenges; perform gap analysis and recommend solutions.
Provide Chief of Staff support for reporting and tasking requirements from headquarters.
Create deliverables and artifacts that adhere to team compliance and quality standards.
Contribute to strategic materials, including graphic design, videos, marketing materials, press releases, strategic plans, SOPs, and guidebooks.
Develop, gather, and disseminate information and documentation among customers and external stakeholders in support of the program.
Analyze changes in requirements with team members and recommend timely, expedient solutions.
Translate complex issues from multiple information sources into clear, compelling, concise written narratives.
Prepare meeting agendas and synthesize complex information into succinct visualizations using tools such as PowerPoint.
