As a Senior Commodity Risk Management Consultant, you will bring advanced expertise in commodity markets and serve as a trusted advisor to high value clients while growing a portfolio through your leadership, market insight, and business development experience. Professionals with an existing book of business or deep industry relationships are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in commodity risk management, futures/options trading, physical commodity trading, agribusiness consulting, or related roles.
  • Strong exposure to grain, livestock, or dairy markets with ability to advise producers and agribusinesses.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Detail oriented approach to navigating volatile commodity markets.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Dynamics preferred) and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to leverage data platforms, CRM systems, analytics tools, and digital communication methods to drive consulting value.
  • Expertise in evaluating client challenges, interpreting multifactor market scenarios, and crafting tailored, strategic recommendations.
  • Series 3 license required (or obtained within 60 days of start).

Nice To Haves

  • Crop insurance licensing (MPCI/LRP/DRP/PRF) preferred.
  • Existing book of business or deep industry relationships are strongly encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive risk management strategies for grain, dairy, and/or livestock clients using futures, options, crop insurance, and cash market tools.
  • Manage physical commodity trading activities, including cash contracts, logistics, and procurement/marketing strategies.
  • Provide expert interpretation of complex market data and advise clients with actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct regular on farm and executive level client visits to strengthen relationships.
  • Manage and expand a portfolio of consulting clients; leverage existing industry relationships to drive new business.
  • Present high value proposals that demonstrate clear financial and operational impact.
  • Engage in industry events, conferences, and producer meetings as a subject matter expert.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to firmwide thought leadership.
