Senior Commissioning Specialist/Engineer, Texas
About The Position
EXP is seeking a Senior Commissioning Specialist/Engineer to provide commissioning services to clients across North America as part of its Sustainability Sector. The sector supports public and private sector clients pursuing efficient, healthy buildings. The role is based in Austin, Dallas, or Houston, Texas. The position involves managing existing client relationships and supporting new-client development, assisting with project pursuits and presentations, and delivering commissioning work from design review through field testing and reporting. The specialist/engineer works with contractors to resolve issues observed during commissioning tests and creates Systems Manuals.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of previous experience in commissioning, mechanical and/or electrical engineering design, test and balance, and/or building automation system check-out.
- Commissioning certification, or extensive installation and BAS programming experience.
Nice To Haves
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) License preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage existing client relationships and support development of new clients.
- Work with Marketing on project pursuits and client presentations.
- Review owner project requirements.
- Perform design reviews.
- Develop commissioning specifications.
- Create commissioning plans, checklists, and tests.
- Perform field visits and observe commissioning tests.
- Work with contractors in the field to resolve commissioning issues observed during testing.
- Write field reports and final reports.
- Create Systems Manuals.
