About The Position

Anderson Mechanical Services is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Service Technician to join their growing Service team. This position is ideal for a highly skilled HVAC professional with extensive experience servicing complex commercial mechanical systems. The role requires technicians who can independently troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial HVAC equipment while delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate has experience working across multiple commercial systems, including DOAS (Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems), chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and water-side HVAC systems. Candidates do not need expertise in every specialty but should have strong commercial experience across several of these areas. In this role, you'll work directly with commercial customers to keep critical building systems operating efficiently while representing Anderson Mechanical Services with professionalism and technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Journeyman HVAC License required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on commercial HVAC systems.
  • Experience servicing several of the following: DOAS (Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems), Chillers, Cooling Towers, Pumps, Water-side HVAC systems
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work safely in indoor and outdoor environments.

Nice To Haves

  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • Manufacturer certifications or factory training on commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) and controls.
  • Experience servicing multiple brands of commercial HVAC equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC equipment and mechanical systems.
  • Service and maintain equipment including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, DOAS units, and other water-side HVAC systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Identify system issues and recommend repair or replacement solutions.
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding system conditions, recommendations, and completed work.
  • Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Follow all OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and industry best practices.
  • Mentor and assist less experienced technicians when needed.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation as required.
