About The Position

The Senior Commercial Relationship Manager plays a strategic role in driving Beem’s commercial banking growth. This position manages a portfolio of more complex accounts with higher volume, ensuring operational efficiency and superior service delivery. The role leads business development initiatives, ensures portfolio profitability, and provides informal coaching to team members, leveraging exceptional interpersonal skills to foster collaboration and growth. This role is open to hybrid working arrangements working out our Burnaby Hub and will require frequent travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in commercial lending with proven success in managing complex portfolios.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with experience in informal coaching.
  • Advanced knowledge of credit structuring, risk analysis, and financial modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of complex commercial accounts with higher volume, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and implement strategies to maintain credit quality and mitigate risk.
  • Ensure timely execution of transactions and adherence to Beem’s credit framework.
  • Develop and execute strategies to achieve elevated sales targets and portfolio growth.
  • Proactively identify and pursue high-value commercial opportunities.
  • Represent Beem at industry events to strengthen brand presence and attract new clients.
  • Conduct advanced credit analysis and risk assessments for complex lending opportunities.
  • Prepare and present detailed credit proposals with financial modeling and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with Beem’s credit and risk framework while maintaining portfolio quality.
  • Provide guidance and informal coaching to relationship managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and performance.
  • Exhibit superior interpersonal skills to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Support training initiatives and contribute to team capability building.
