About The Position

Greyling Insurance Brokerage & Risk Consulting, a division of EPIC, is a specialty insurance brokerage and risk consulting firm focused on construction and design professionals. Our leaders have prior experience as practicing construction lawyers, engineers, consultants, and underwriters, giving us unique insight into how A/E firms operate, deliver projects, and manage risks. We specialize in placing large clients in group captive programs and have a strong track record in serving A/E firms. We are looking to grow our team and are seeking a Senior Account Specialist to support our brokers in providing top-notch client services. This role involves producing client submissions, proposals, presentations, insurance summaries, and reports, as well as providing day-to-day support for routine inquiries and transactions.

Requirements

• Strong, professional communication skills – both written and verbal.
• Ability to pivot between detailed and accurate written communication and detailed verbal conversation with clients or internal stakeholders.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to learn and understand software systems quickly.
• At least 5+ years of experience working for an insurance agency, broker or carrier.
• Current Property & Casualty Insurance License.
• Ability to adapt well to priority changes and deadlines.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to come up with solutions and answers to client questions.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Commercial property and casualty experience is preferred.
• Licensed property/casualty insurance agent/broker license.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in an insurance-related field.
• Knowledge of agency management system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support the broker with providing top-notch client services.
• Assist with producing client submissions, proposals, presentations, insurance summaries & reports.
• Provide day-to-day support with routine inquiries and transactions concerning clients (such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, scanning, and photocopying).
• Handle day-to-day client issues and questions.
• Input client information into Sagitta (agency management software system).
• Request loss runs.
• Pre-complete renewal schedules and applications.
• Prepare ACORD applications.
• Create client files on shared server, prepare pre-renewal reports including loss ratio analysis and pre-complete renewal reports.
• Prepare confirmations of coverage and insurance program charts.
• Coordinate with other staff on certificate-holder list.
• Assist with processing and tracking mid-term endorsement requests.
• Follow up on underwriter subjectivities.
• Assist with program analysis for potential clients.
• Assist with contract review of insurance requirements.
• Assist with policy workflow process to make sure policies are sent out to clients in a timely fashion.
• Assist quoting using insurer’s online platforms where applicable.
• Serve as a backup when a broker is out of the office.
