About The Position

This highly visible role partners with data and insights analysts in the Commercial Data Reporting & Insight organization and helps drive the vision for using data to improve decision-making in Huntington’s Commercial Bank. The analyst works with the Commercial Credit Analytics Product Owner and serves as a liaison among business leaders, segment partners, centralized data leadership, IT, and Finance to understand priorities and develop tools and insights that optimize performance. The role develops automated analytical solutions, tools, and resources to support strategic initiatives; measures sales activity and opportunities; and delivers insights that highlight growth and performance opportunities. It also supports Commercial reporting standards and the continued evolution of Huntington’s data environment. The position is office-based. Specific work arrangements are provided by the hiring team; some positions outside the branch network may be eligible for a flexible arrangement combining in-office and work-from-home work.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
At least 5 years of related experience.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in SQL.
Proficiency in SAS, R, or Python.
Working knowledge of Tableau or similar business intelligence visualization tools.
Proven ability to collaborate with business partners to develop technical solutions in an agile manner.
Strong data visualization and communication skills, including the ability to explain complex datasets simply.
Experience pulling, cleaning, and validating data from disparate source systems.
Background in financial services, particularly in Commercial Banking or a data organization.
Experience with Salesforce.com or a comparable CRM.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

Translate business partners’ data challenges into automated analytical solutions.
Develop analytical tools and resources that support strategic initiatives and drive elevated performance through insights.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the Commercial Bank to measure sales activity and opportunities.
Build and modify queries using SAS, R, or Python to create datasets for reporting and analysis.
Design, build, and maintain Tableau and Power BI dashboards and reports.
Develop and mentor peer analysts.
Support ad hoc data requests and analysis, delivering insights to highlight areas of growth and opportunity.
Continuously improve process and reporting efficiency and accuracy.
Establish best practices and standard definitions for Commercial reporting.
Partner with IT data partners to evolve Huntington’s data environment and improve automation and efficiency.
