Senior Commercial Credit Analyst

About The Position

As a Senior Commercial Credit Analyst at One Community Bank, you will evaluate the risk of extending credit by reviewing borrower and guarantor financial information and translating your analysis into clear recommendations for lending decisions. You will own the bank’s most complex credit relationships and serve as a resource for the analyst team. The role involves focused analysis and timely collaboration with lenders. You will prioritize higher-complexity relationships, clarify assumptions and documentation, prepare concise decision-ready narratives, and keep annual reviews moving forward. You will also coach newer analysts, monitor deadlines and policy considerations, and prepare for committee or approval conversations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
4–5 years of commercial credit analyst experience in a banking environment.
Strong credit risk assessment skills.
Strong financial statement analysis skills.
Strong memo and presentation writing skills.
Knowledge of banking accounting rules, regulations, and policies.
Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
Clear communication ability.
Mentoring and leadership ability.

Responsibilities

Spread and analyze financial statements and tax returns.
Complete global cash flow and collateral analysis.
Prepare independent credit memos and loan presentations.
Complete annual relationship and loan reviews.
Partner with lenders to gather and clarify financial details and documentation.
Reinforce credit policies and offer feedback on department direction.
Take ownership of the bank’s most complex credit relationships.
Serve as a resource for the analyst team and coach newer analysts.
Monitor progress against deadlines and prepare for committee or approval conversations.
