About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Commercial Banking Relationship Manager for clients with annual revenue of $100MM to $2B supporting the Chicago market as part of the Commercial Bank. In this role, you will independently develop, retain, and grow moderately complex client relationships and lead a team. You will leverage a solid understanding of relationship management, client needs, and financial decision-makers to respond quickly, communicate proactively, manage expectations, and solicit feedback. You will also lead or participate in structuring, modifying, and renewing moderately complex cash flow, real estate loans, and other industry-specific solutions by analyzing financials, presenting to clients, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and partnering with senior peers. You will offer the full suite of Wells Fargo solutions to meet client needs, engaging product organizations and leveraging your understanding of clients' businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions. You will independently lead or resolve moderately complex initiatives, guide your team, and ensure deliverables are met within the Commercial Banking Relationship Management group, adhering to relevant policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. You will collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve client issues and achieve business objectives, helping clients navigate Wells Fargo's processes, escalating inquiries when needed, and identifying opportunities for process improvements and risk control enhancements. You may also lead projects, teams, or mentor less experienced colleagues. Additionally, you will drive relationship planning activities, maintain sales and pipeline disciplines, and support Business Development Representatives in sourcing new clients by cultivating relationships through existing networks in the Chicago market. You will partner with Commercial Lending Product Management to provide feedback on client and market needs for credit solution innovation and delivery.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Commercial Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Established local network and comprehensive knowledge of the Chicago market and surrounding areas
  • Commercial banking account relationship management experience for clients with annual revenue of $100MM to $2B
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively to deliver the organization to clients and prospects
  • Demonstrated experience generating new client relationships, building and retaining long-term client relationships
  • Experience identifying and mitigating risk, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of core banking products and services, such as commercial lending and treasury management
  • Completion of formal credit training program
