The Senior Commercial Account Executive will manage the client insurance program, utilizing the agency management system. This role typically handles larger and more complex accounts than a standard Account Executive. Responsibilities include acting as the main point of contact with the Producer, initiating correspondence with the marketplace, and serving as a primary contact with vendors to ensure the smooth operation of the client's insurance program. The position requires maintaining positive client relationships, making proactive decisions, and managing follow-through. A strong consultative ability is needed to instruct and direct clients, manage upcoming deadlines, and oversee accounts receivables and direct billing. This role also involves preparing renewal documents, performing quality checks on insurance policies, and recommending additional products or services. As a team member of the Client Services team, the Senior Commercial Account Executive will delegate tasks to Account Managers and outsourcing teams, ensuring their timely and accurate completion. They will provide direction and guidance to team members, mentor other Account Executives and Managers, and build vendor relationships. Negotiation with carriers on cost and program design, assisting with client plan recommendations, and coordinating/attending client meetings are also key functions. Technical expertise is crucial, including analyzing insurance quotes, interpreting contract requirements, communicating with carriers and clients, and staying updated on carrier plans and policy forms. The role requires proficiency in premium analysis software and agency management systems, identifying coverage gaps, and becoming a subject matter expert in a chosen area.
