As a Senior Coach Counselor, you will have the unique opportunity to create a positive, safe and supportive environment for the youth we serve while building a career rich in growth opportunities and self-fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Be empathetic, patient, and respectful, with a genuine desire to work with troubled teens.
  • Pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and TB test.
  • Hold a current State Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record for the past three years.
  • Have 60 hours of college education in a directly related field of study or at least two years of prior experience working with at-risk youth in a similar Direct Care position.
  • Completion of company-required training within six months of placement in the position is mandatory.
  • Internal applicants must have an acceptable performance record, at least 90 days of experience in a Child Care Worker or higher Direct Care position.
  • Must complete Initial Qualifications Training prior to placement in this role.

  • Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide safety and around-the-clock supervision for residential youth.
  • Promote an atmosphere that is professional and supportive.
  • Monitor and document youth behaviors and actions.
  • Participate and assist with educational and recreational activities.
  • Work in collaboration with other departments to establish and meet the goals of each youth’s treatment plan.
  • Uphold a sense of community by teaching and modeling cooperation, respect, and responsibility in the group living environment specifically for other staff.
