Requirements

  • 10 years of machining experience, preferably on Doosan mills or lathes, required.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented.
  • A self-motivated professional who thrives both independently and collaboratively in team environments.
  • Performs effectively in fast-paced, dynamic settings, maintaining focus and adaptability.
  • Exhibits sound judgement; anticipates the implications and consequences of situations and takes appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies.
  • Maintains a calm, professional demeanor when navigating challenging or high-pressure situations.
  • Efficiently manages multiple projects and competing priorities with urgency, accountability, and follow-through.
  • Exhibits a strong sense of initiative and continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree in industrial applications or machining, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Creates parts and follows procedures and instructions to meet customer expectations.
  • Reads and interprets mechanical schematics to ensure accuracy.
  • Sets up tooling equipment, loads parts, reviews programming steps, and ensures adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Makes minor adjustments to programs offsets if needed.
  • Responsible for performing first piece inspections on machined parts.
  • Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
  • Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Expected to run more than one machine at a time.
  • Maintain a clean and neat work area.
  • Mentors entry-level machinists as needed.
