Zeno Power is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to support its development and commercialization of Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS). The role owns and supports the cloud-based computing environment used by engineering teams, including engineering applications, compute resources, storage, access, licensing, and user support. The position initially reports directly to the Director of Engineering and works closely with Zeno’s IT team and external cloud-infrastructure partners. As the platform matures and enters steady-state operation, the role is expected to transition to the IT organization while remaining the primary owner of engineering computing systems and the liaison between Engineering and IT. The role serves as the technical owner of Engineering’s AWS-based computing environment and supports the installation, configuration, validation, and maintenance of specialized engineering software and its license services. It translates engineering workflows and software needs into technical requirements for IT, infrastructure partners, and vendors; supports engineers with accounts, access, storage, data transfers, compute jobs, and other usage issues; and leads technical aspects of engineering software procurement. The position requires in-office presence in Seattle’s South Lake Union on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Remote work is optional on Mondays and Fridays. Travel is less than 10%. The contract duration is six months, with an anticipated hourly rate of $80–$105. Applicants must be a U.S. person as defined in the posting.
