About The Position
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Cloud Network Engineer to join our team! In this role you will help modernize and scale the network architecture for a mission-critical global platform operating across remote sites, centralized hubs, and AWS cloud environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent experience.
- 15+ years of experience in network engineering, cloud networking, or hybrid infrastructure engineering
- Strong production experience with AWS networking (VPC design, Transit Gateway, VPN/IPsec, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, Route 53, segmentation, routing)
- Deep networking fundamentals including IP networking, routing, BGP, NAT, DNS, HA/failover, and network security
- Experience integrating physical networks with cloud‑based virtual networks
- Experience with Terraform or similar tooling
- An active Top Secret SCI security clearance is required for this position.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with virtual firewalls such as Cisco ASA/Firepower, Palo Alto, or Fortinet
- Experience with network automation using Python, Ansible, or CI/CD
- Experience with SD‑WAN, network virtualization, or WAN modernization
- Experience with observability tools (Grafana, ELK/Kibana, flow logs, synthetic monitoring)
- Experience applying AIOps or analytics for anomaly detection, capacity forecasting, or incident reduction
Responsibilities
- Leading the design and implementation of hybrid network architectures spanning field sites, centralized environments, and AWS
- Overseeing the build‑out of modern VPC‑based network fabrics and resilient virtual topologies using AWS services
- Integrating and guiding alignment between physical firewalls/routed networks and cloud‑based virtual networking and security appliances
- Driving adoption of software‑defined, policy‑driven networking patterns
- Enhancing reliability and operational insight through repeatable network deployments, infrastructure‑as‑code, observability, and telemetry‑driven improvements
