About The Position

Körber is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design and develop enterprise SaaS solutions built on AWS and other cloud providers. This role involves driving the architecture, roadmaps, and execution of projects to establish and operate cloud IT infrastructure services using Amazon Web Services (AWS). The engineer will develop and maintain standards for cloud platforms, operating systems, security, blueprints, and artifacts. Responsibilities include supporting, automating, and optimizing mission-critical deployments using configuration management, CI/CD, and DevOps processes. The role also involves recommending system modifications for efficiency and reliability, collaborating on technology evaluations, and participating in agile development methodologies. Key tasks include delivering programmable infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code), Security by Design, and automation/orchestration for network, security, server, IAM, OS, and applications. The engineer will also develop serverless and container solutions and provide operational support for Infrastructure as Code and native public cloud services.

Requirements

  • Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems
  • Knowledge of how to create or adapt applications for use in a cloud based environment
  • AWS technologies including S3, EBS, EFS, RDS, ECS, IAM, ELB/ALB, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, KMS, Route53, and Secrets Manager
  • Orchestration technologies AWS CloudFormation and Terraform
  • Cloud-based software development tools and methodologies Git, CI/CD, CodeDeploy, and CodePipeline
  • Linux systems Redhat and CentOS
  • Programming languages HTML, CSS, Java, JavaScript, JQuery
  • Web Services REST and SOAP
  • Container technologies Docker, AWS, and Kubernetes
  • Scripting and automation languages Python, PowerShell, and Bash
  • Unit/acceptance testing

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop enterprise SaaS solutions built on AWS and other cloud providers, including System design, planning, review, and implementation
  • Drive the architecture, roadmaps, and execution of projects to establish and operate cloud IT infrastructure services using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Develop and maintain standards for cloud platforms, operating systems, security, blueprints and artifacts
  • Support, automate, and optimize mission critical deployments, leveraging configuration management, Build & Release Management process, Continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), and DevOps processes
  • Recommend modifications to systems in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance for delivering application and infrastructure in the cloud
  • Collaborate with peers and partners in the execution of technology product evaluations, code reviews, proof of concepts, pilots, and the technology adoption life-cycles
  • Participate in agile infrastructure and software development, Scrum, Kanban and Sprints
  • Deliver programmable infrastructure (Infrastructure as Code), Security by Design and automation/orchestration such as network, security, server, IAM, OS and applications
  • Develop serverless and container solutions
  • Provide operational support for Infrastructure as Code and native public cloud services (AWS: IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, VPC, EC2, etc.)
