Summary Provides leadership within a team environment for all area(s) of specialization and product line. Leads the development of procedures to solve complex problems in their area(s) of specialization. Acts as a lead in a business and/or functional area to assist the user in defining their needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Information Sciences and Technology or Information Management related fields
  • Preferred work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • 10 years Progressive experience in Information Management or Information Technology or a related Healthcare field
  • 2 years direct build experience on current EHR system version
  • 1 year Healthcare project management and budget management experience
  • Attention to detail and ability to assess business problems and develop feasible alternative solutions.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and to be self motivated and self disciplined.
  • In depth knowledge of processes of assigned area(s) and applications
  • Effectively deals with multiple and changing priorities.
  • Ability to complete projects with minimal supervision and/or direction.
  • Must be able to visit multiple business and education locations. (Dependent on employment location)

Responsibilities

  • Provides software leadership, in area(s) of specialization, on medium to large size projects as required.
  • Maintains understanding of user, project leader, and management direction and meets regularly to review project priorities and scope.
  • Functions as a coach and mentor to team members to achieve workflow standardization and design across the organization.
  • Stays abreast of technological advancements. Researches and recommends new tools and alternatives to improve access and efficiency within the organization
  • Coordinates and leads others in process of unit, functional, and integration testing.
  • Leads discussion in team and departmental committees providing data and system governance
  • Develops, leads/coordinates conventions, standards, and procedures to improve departmental function.
