About The Position

The Senior Clinical Pharmacist - Pharmacy Trend Clinical Programs, serving on the Stewardship Program Innovation and Rx Trend team, plays a crucial role in driving collaboration across teams to implement essential clinical program strategies. This position is central to advancing the ongoing growth and innovation of our pharmacy clinical programs. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues across various programs and key partner teams to foster collaborative achievement and uphold program excellence. This role requires a proactive approach to cross-functional teamwork and a commitment to continuous improvement, in alignment with Humana's focus on championing innovation and collaboration across our organization.

Requirements

  • PharmD from an accredited institution.
  • Active pharmacist license with the Board of Pharmacy in state of residence
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills that would allow for efficiently tracking, analyzing and creating insights from various data sets.
  • Expertise in working collaboratively and communicating with staff in different positions and all levels of management positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Managed Care Residency Training or 3 years working as a managed care pharmacist
  • Board Certification
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
  • Experience in HPS Clinical Programs or HCPR operations

Responsibilities

  • Performing functions to execute and track various clinical program strategies, including:
  • Collaborating with multiple partner teams, such as Pharmacy Analytics and Consulting (PAC), Marketing, Trade, and the Humana Clinical Pharmacy Review team, to ensure alignment and seamless program execution.
  • Collaborating on the maintenance of clinical program target drug lists with Clinical Formulary and Medical Strategies team.
  • Tracking, analyzing, and reporting program-specific key performance indicators to inform decision-making and demonstrate outcomes.
  • Develop and sustain effective working relationships with external vendors and internal operations teams to foster program success.
  • Participate in clinical program innovation, including the development of new program initiatives and the ideation and testing of enhancements to existing programs.
