The Clinical Engineering team is responsible for the management, maintenance, integration, and lifecycle support of medical technology across the health system. Working closely with clinical, operational, and information technology teams, the department ensures that medical devices are safe, reliable, compliant, and optimized to support patient care. Key responsibilities include medical device integration, technology planning and acquisition, preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair of clinical equipment. The team also plays a critical role in regulatory compliance by ensuring adherence to Joint Commission standards and applicable safety codes. Through proactive equipment rounding, incident investigations, and collaboration with manufacturers on recalls and corrective actions, Clinical Engineering drives continuous quality improvement and operational excellence throughout the organization.
