This job is responsible for managing the overall relationship with Institutional Retirement and Executive Benefits clients by implementing, administering, and servicing qualified and nonqualified retirement programs. Responsibilities include serving as a strategic relationship leader for defined contribution, Nonqualified Deferred Compensation (NQDC), Supplemental Executive Retirement Plans (SERPs), excess benefit plans, and executive compensation arrangements. Key responsibilities include consulting with plan sponsors, executives, third party administrators, trust partners, and internal stakeholders to drive client satisfaction, retention, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and growth opportunities. The Senior Client Service Manager provides subject matter expertise on complex executive benefit plan designs, participant events, distributions, plan governance, and ongoing plan administration.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience servicing retirement plans, executive benefits, NQDC plans, or institutional clients.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of executive compensation and deferred compensation plan administration.
  • Experience supporting NQDC plans, SERPs, excess plans, and Rabbi Trust arrangements.
  • Working knowledge of Internal Revenue Code Section 409A and related executive benefit regulations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior executives, plan sponsors, consultants, and advisors.

Responsibilities

  • Formulates Client Centric Business Plans, including retention strategies, with recurring client touchpoints and routines to drive plan feature optimization and client retention
  • Executes on Line of Business strategy by staying up to date on market conditions, handling escalated calls, resolving complex client issues, and analyzing data to address risk issues and trends
  • Acts as a liaison between the client and business to help manage the corporate client relationships and provide support
  • Works closely with high profile Financial Advisors and Client Relationship Managers to provide support
  • Creates and strives to maintain a high level of client satisfaction which is measured by both internal and third party benchmarks
  • Coordinates and delivers quarterly Service and Product Reviews with the team for improvement and plan enhancement
  • Acts as the primary service contact for NQDC, SERP, excess benefit, and other executive retirement plan clients throughout the plan lifecycle.
  • Consults with plan sponsors regarding deferral elections, contribution processing, vesting schedules, distribution events, and benefit payment administration.
  • Oversees complex executive participant transactions, including retirement, separation from service, disability, death benefits, scheduled distributions, and in-service withdrawals.
  • Partners with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate execution of plan provisions and participant elections.
  • Maintains working knowledge of IRC Section 409A, NQDC plan administration requirements, executive compensation regulations, and applicable governance standards.
