About The Position

Western National is seeking a Senior Claims Support Specialist to join our team! The individual in this role will have the opportunity to provide administrative and clerical support to our Claims Team.

Requirements

Good communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to pay attention to details.
Ability to follow process.
Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Proficient use of various core systems, office and computer equipment, and software packages.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in property-and-casualty claims.

Responsibilities

Keeps accurate and current records in designated systems that are accessible to others.
Serves as a subject matter expert for other support staff, providing technical training as needed.
Updates reports, prints checks, and understands relevant information.
Seeks relevant information and answers to key questions from defined sources.
Receives supervision on non-routine issues and tasks.
Applies knowledge to help solve problems of relatively limited scope and complexity.
Follows established procedures with limited discretion to vary from said procedures.
Contacts other internal departments and team members.
Answers incoming customer calls for the department.
Communicates primarily on task- or learning-related matters, creating and delivering a variety of messages and information.
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
