About The Position

ICF is seeking a Substation Civil Structural Engineer to perform electric utility substation design engineering and reviews. The role is a senior position on a design team of engineers, designers, and drafting technicians, collaborating with physical electrical engineering on utility-level substation and renewable energy projects. The engineer develops design drawings and calculation packages from conceptual through detailed design, reviews civil and structural designs, and supports bid and construction packages. The position also supports field personnel during construction, contributes to proposals, and helps develop junior staff. Occasional visits to client substation facilities and travel for client meetings or industry events are expected. This is a fully remote role with a flexible schedule.
