About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our Municipal Engineering team, based in either our Newfoundland and Labrador or Nova Scotia offices. This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful infrastructure projects that directly impact the communities we serve. As a key member of our municipal engineering group, you will lead and contribute to the design of linear infrastructure projects, primarily serving municipal clients. You will undertake and support water, sanitary, and storm infrastructure studies, including system assessments, capacity evaluations, and servicing strategies. You will also support site development projects for industrial and utility clients. You will develop technical designs, analyses, and drawings for civil and municipal infrastructure projects. You will coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including planning, design, and construction personnel. Additionally, you will participate in the preparation of proposals and service offerings, build strong client relationships by ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction, and mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing team environment.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Professional registration with Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) or Engineers Nova Scotia (or eligibility to transfer).
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in municipal and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Working knowledge of WaterCAD.
  • Working knowledge of SewerCAD.
  • Working knowledge of PCSWMM.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of Civil 3D.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
  • A valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
