Senior Chemical Process Engineer

M2X Energy IncRockledge, FL
$130,000Hybrid

About The Position

The Senior Chemical Process Engineer will become the technical owner of M2X's process design, with responsibility for evaluating, improving, and scaling the company's commercial process systems. This role works across process engineering, equipment design, controls, manufacturing, commissioning, and field operations to ensure systems are safe, reliable, manufacturable, and economically competitive. The primary system is an economical gas-to-liquid conversion plant utilizing stranded methane sources. You'll collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers (designing and building the systems) and the Operations Team (running the systems and generating data). You will lead data analysis for validation of unit operations and control systems, work with vendors on equipment sizing, selection, and procurement, and create documentation for the operation, maintenance, testing, and safety of these systems. Expectations are that this role will become intimate with the process design, economics, and manufacturability of the system — providing the vision for future design versions. The Sr. Chemical Process Engineer must work effectively as part of a team and represent M2X Energy well with partners and customers. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional technical competence and proficiency in chemical process fundamentals and application, along with a passion for developing new technologies that mitigate the worst effects of climate change.
