About The Position

The LINC Caring Community /Palestine Senior Center is seeking a dedicated Cook to join their team. This role supports the Kitchen Manager in preparing, cooking, and serving daily meals that meet health and safety standards while creating a welcoming environment for seniors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 2 years of experience in food preparation (institutional or commercial kitchen preferred).
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Valid food handler’s certification (or ability to obtain).
• Team player with reliability, professionalism, and strong communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Culinary training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook daily meals following established menus and recipes.
• Assist with plating, portioning, and serving meals.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment.
• Support inventory and supply needs by reporting shortages and rotating stock.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Work closely with the Kitchen Manager and kitchen team to ensure efficient, high-quality service.
