About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring compassionate CNAs and HHAs who want to help seniors and adults live safely and comfortably in their own homes. We serve clients throughout Ponte Vedra Beach, St Johns County, Jacksonville, and surrounding areas. Home care is different from working in a facility; you work with one client at a time, allowing you to learn their routine, understand what matters to them, and build a real relationship. This role is ideal for those who want to make a difference for one person at a time. The people we serve may include seniors who want to age safely at home, military veterans, disabled adults, people recovering after an illness or surgery, clients who need personal care, and people who need companionship or supervision. Care needs vary and can include hands-on assistance with bathing, dressing, or transfers, as well as meal preparation, medication reminders, companionship, light housekeeping, or help with daily safety.

Requirements

• Active Florida CNA license or classroom HHA certificate
• Level Two Background Screening
• Recent TB screening
• Classroom CPR certification
• HIV AIDS training
• Alzheimers and Related Dementias training
• Assistance with Self Administration of Medication training
• Reliable transportation
• Paid caregiving experience with seniors or adults needing personal care
• Good communication skills
• A dependable and caring attitude

Nice To Haves

• Comfort with pets is preferred
