This position will perform tasks in financial and project management software (PowerPlan and Microsoft Project Online) related to Cal Water's 3-year Infrastructure Improvement Plan. This entry level position will support the Engineering team as a Capital Budget Technician and will perform specific tasks supporting the development and tracking of the Company’s Capital Budget.

Requirements

High school diploma or General Education (GED) equivalent.
Valid California Class C Driver's License
Experience with job related software including Excel.
Good working knowledge of English and ability to effectively communicate.
Exercises good judgement in prioritizing assignments and work in order of urgency and sensitivity.

Nice To Haves

Experience with PowerPlan and Microsoft Project Online

Responsibilities

Re-formatting budget tables in Excel to align with different software requirements.
Creation of capital projects and budgets in financial software and in project management software.
Modification of capital budgets based on regulatory outcomes and company decisions.
Tracking and quality control.
Reviewing projects based on established guidelines.
Preparing graphs and tables to summarize the budget.
