About The Position

The Senior Campus Landscape Architect is an experienced landscape architect professional who provides technical expertise, mentorship, and project leadership for the Landscape & Natural Resources team within Design Services at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Reporting to the Lead Campus Landscape Architect, this position assists with the planning, design, and coordination of functional, visually compelling, sustainable and user-focused exterior spaces across campus. Serving as a key member of the design team, the Senior Campus Landscape Architect contributes site and landscape design expertise to capital and in-house projects and renovations, reviews plans, and ensures design intent is realized. The position also mentors less-experienced staff and provides guidance on complex projects, ensuring work aligns with campus standards, institutional priorities, and stakeholder expectations. Acting as a resource for the team, campus stakeholders and consultants, the Senior Campus Landscape Architect helps translate design vision into functional, sustainable, aesthetically pleasing, and engaging exterior environments.
