This role involves a heavy focus on battery system dynamics, including modal, random vibration, and shock analysis. The engineer will be responsible for developing random vibration profiles for pack-in-fixture (PIF) testing, as well as developing and tuning PIF fixtures to match vehicle response and damage. The position requires performing PIF durability analysis of battery systems using finite element tools such as Optistruct, ANSA, and Hyperview/META. The engineer will interpret CAE results for design engineers, suggest feasible design changes for optimization, and cooperate with design engineers and suppliers to gather material properties, connection information, and relevant CAE modeling data. Responsibilities also include meshing and connecting parts as needed and developing analysis procedures for durability load cases and benchmarking.
