Senior CAD Drafter Land Surveying
About The Position
EXACTA, dba H&H Survey Consultants, is a leading land surveying company serving residential and commercial clients across multiple states. We specialize in various types of surveys, including ALTA/NSPS, commercial, construction, and residential surveys, with a focus on accuracy and timely delivery. Our surveys are crucial for real estate transactions, supporting buyers, sellers, title companies, lenders, attorneys, and agents. The Senior CAD Drafter will work under the Survey Manager, performing design work and related tasks for final Survey Preparation, Metes & Bounds, and Platted Lots Survey preparation. This role is primarily indoors, requiring the ability to move in various standing and sitting positions and lift up to 50 pounds. There are opportunities for advancement for dedicated employees.
Requirements
- Minimum of high school diploma/GED diploma.
- 2+ years of successful job-related professional drafting experience in the surveying industry.
- Applied CAD experience.
- Proven professional skill sets including Civil 3D and survey experience.
- Ability to communicate and respond professionally and knowledgeably.
- Assertive problem-solver and action-oriented team player.
- Relentlessly positive, flexible, do-whatever-it-takes attitude.
- Fast on your feet, poised under pressure, and committed to client service.
- Ability to balance workload to meet job demands and exceed client expectations.
- Proficient in the independent application and use of job-related software/e-technology/cloud based solutions.
Nice To Haves
- An Associate's / Technical Degree or higher is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Survey Manager to discuss project parameters and drafting requirements for each municipality and builder client.
- Maintain Survey control cad files for engineered and scattered lot subdivisions, including horizontal and vertical.
- Prepare topographic, boundary, and other survey mapping drawings accurately and efficiently.
- Perform accurate survey calculations from field notes, deeds, and record plats.
- Prepare home builder plot plans according to construction plans.
- Prepare formboard, foundation, and final surveys depicting drainage patterns, and review approved site/plot plans.
- Provide professional support to field survey crews with calc point files, exhibits, and other necessary information.
- Maintain accurate timesheets for billing.
- Adhere to Exacta’s policies, procedures, and work directives.
- Resolve internal and external customer issues promptly and professionally.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, clients, and other parties.
- Perform all assigned duties to meet business needs safely, ethically, and professionally.
