About The Position

At Jack Morton, we create and build brand experiences that are head-turning, smile-inducing, and impact-driving. We are seeking an experienced Senior CAD Detailer to join our growing team. This role is critical in transforming innovative exhibit, event, and experiential marketing concepts into production-ready solutions. You will collaborate closely with designers, project managers, production teams, and fabricators to create detailed technical drawings that bring world-class brand experiences to life.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience as a CAD Detailer, Production Detailer, or similar technical drafting role
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, including 3D detailing environments
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong understanding of fabrication methods, construction techniques, and production materials
  • Ability to develop detailed, production-ready drawing packages from conceptual designs
  • Knowledge of structural principles and practical engineering concepts
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and fabrication documents
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to balance creativity and functionality
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across creative, sales, project management, and production teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Advanced PC and technical software proficiency

Nice To Haves

  • Experience creating CAM-ready files and programming CNC equipment
  • Background in exhibits, experiential marketing, events, retail environments, museum exhibits, or custom fabrication

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with 3D Exhibit Designers to develop functional, fabrication-ready solutions while preserving design intent
  • Creating comprehensive production drawings for custom exhibits, branded environments, events, and experiential activations
  • Producing detailed fabrication packages including dimensions, materials, hardware specifications, assembly details, and installation instructions
  • Developing exploded isometric views and technical documentation to support manufacturing and onsite installation teams
  • Specifying materials, hardware, lighting, and electrical components that align with project requirements and production standards
  • Preparing AutoCAD layouts for CAM processing and CNC manufacturing
  • Providing technical expertise and guidance to procurement, sales, project management, and production teams
  • Identifying and solving design and fabrication challenges before they impact project delivery
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and on schedule
