Senior C/C++ Linux Technical Lead – ZTPF
About The Position
DXC Technology is seeking a Senior C Linux Application and Systems Technical Lead to serve as a Techno Functional Lead on a critical enterprise application modernization initiative. The role supports the stability, performance, and evolution of large, mature, highly interconnected C/C++ codebases, including mission-critical, high-volume transaction-processing environments such as airline Passenger Service Systems. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise and guide design and implementation decisions across a complex technical landscape. The lead acts as a senior technical escalation point, providing hands-on troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and technical governance across builds and releases. Working with developers and specialist subject matter experts, the role resolves complex runtime, memory, threading, and system behavior issues while driving technical-debt remediation and improvements in code quality and system stability. ZTPF experience is mandatory. TPF and mainframe modernization experience is valuable, particularly in support of migrating or re-platforming legacy applications to Linux and cloud environments. Requirements
- Strong hands-on C/C++ and legacy enterprise application expertise, preferably involving mainframe migrations.
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot large, mature, highly interconnected C codebases.
- Strong code-review and PR-review capability, including the ability to challenge design and implementation decisions.
- Experience diagnosing complex runtime, memory, threading, compiler-warning, and application behavior issues.
- Strong Linux troubleshooting skills, including application, services, and log analysis.
- Experience troubleshooting connectors, interfaces, communication layers, and distributed systems.
- Ability to perform deep root-cause analysis across application code, services, logs, and transaction flows.
- Experience providing technical governance for builds and releases, including assessing code changes before merge or release.
- Ability to lead technical-debt, code-quality, and stability remediation, not just new feature development.
- Ability to function as a senior technical escalation point and coordinate developers and specialist SMEs to reach technical decisions.
- Strong documentation and knowledge-transfer capability, especially for operational readiness, troubleshooting, and system support.
- ZTPF experience is mandatory.
Nice To Haves
- Airline industry or Passenger Service System experience, particularly with reservation, inventory, availability, ticketing, or airline host environments.
- Prior experience with airline transaction-processing or other high-volume, mission-critical systems.
- TPF or mainframe modernization or re-platforming experience.
- Experience supporting systems where legacy or mainframe applications are migrated or re-platformed to Linux or cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Azure, PostgreSQL, and modern observability or tooling.
