About The Position
Our Aston facility is growing, and we are looking for a Senior Buyer to join our team! As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for executing complex or technical procurement activities, including high-value purchases. This role negotiates pricing and contract terms, drives sourcing efforts and supplier performance to meet cost, quality and delivery objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of strategic procurement processes, contract negotiations, supplier management.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency with ERP systems.
- Demonstrated negotiation experience with measurable cost savings or value creation.
- Experience supporting complex programs or engineered products.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end procurement activities for complex, high-value materials, components and services.
- Negotiate and administer complex purchase orders and agreements.
- Issue and administer purchase orders, purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable Federal, state, and/or local regulations concerning the purchase or shipment of goods, materials or services.
- Drive supplier selection as well as conduct supplier site visits and rate them as to production capability, performance and delivery.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring (cost, quality, delivery) and corrective action implementation.
- Proactively address issues and escalate as needed.
- Resolve complex invoice discrepancies, receive issues and supplier disputes.
- Maintain accurate and complete procurement records.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including manufacturing, planning, and engineering departments to ensure alignment with program schedules and requirements.
- Drives cost reduction initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
