About The Position

As a Senior Buyer, you will support the procurement process by sourcing materials and equipment needed for operations. You will engage vendors, obtain competitive quotes, and facilitate purchases while collaborating with procurement colleagues and project teams. The role is associated with the $4.6 billion SR 400 Express Lanes project in Atlanta, a public-private partnership led by FlatironDragados and ACCIONA. The project covers the design, construction, long-term operation, and maintenance of the corridor for 50 years. The Senior Buyer serves as a subject matter expert in materials sourcing and/or rental equipment, builds vendor relationships, tracks purchase orders, records goods ordered and received, and assists with accounts payable reconciliation. The role reports to the Procurement Manager for direction on vendor outreach and purchasing activities.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 5 years of related experience.
Previous experience working on heavy civil infrastructure projects, such as highways, bridges, transit, or rail.
Exceptional communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert in materials sourcing and/or rental equipment.
Establish a network of vendors and gather quotes for identified products and materials, at the direction of the Procurement Manager.
Record goods ordered and received, and assist with accounts payable reconciliation.
Facilitate purchases with vendors at the direction of the Procurement Manager.
Accurately track order status after purchase orders are issued.
Prepare reports and correspondence as needed.
