The Senior Buyer for Seating will support Automotive Seat Module buying in North America and Globally, as well as armrest and headrests with an annual value of business of ~$500M. The core responsibilities of this position are the development, ownership, and execution of full lifecycle commodity strategies which include but are not limited to: serving as the global commodity team lead for the seat armrest and headrest commodities coordinating global sourcing’s, synergy acceleration, benchmarking and commodity strategy development and execution; coordinating and managing key supplier open issues, leading and executing business plan, and serving as escalation point to drive issue closure; managing complex supply issues ranging from capacity to just in time delivery and regular release fluctuations; sourcing activities supporting the Seat Headrest and Armrest commodities including supplier negotiations, sourcing on time and to target, driving annual cost savings activities, managing and identifying cost savings activities including Monozukuri, Value Optimization and Gap to Should Cost; and leading the resolution and negotiation of commercial issues. The selected candidate will interact with many cross-functional teams such as engineering, supply chain management, supplier quality and finance.
