About The Position

Sentara is hiring a Senior Business Systems Analyst. This position is fully remote. The position is responsible for the support, enhancement, and implementation of software applications used within the organization. It oversees and directs intermediate-scale projects or components of large-scale projects, developing project plans and timelines, and coordinating project resources. The incumbent will identify opportunities to leverage technologies to improve and enhance business practices by designing and implementing application/product enhancements. They will work with and act as a liaison to customers, end-users, appropriate IT personnel, and software vendors to align technology functionality with operational processes. This role involves assessing, researching, analyzing, and documenting stakeholder needs, selecting appropriate information gathering and/or modeling techniques to elicit requirements. The analyst will develop detailed test cases, execute them, and share results with business and tech managers for approval. They will work jointly with developers to provide solutions and cost/time estimates for fixes and enhancements. The role also includes performing longer-term analysis and design of systems and hardware to maintain production environments, synthesizing requirements, and developing recommendations that best meet business objectives. The analyst will work on project teams developing or modifying very complex information systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science, Business, Technical, Education, Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Engineering, or Information Technology, OR 6 or more years of relevant experience.
  • 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced SQL experience.
  • Experience with EDI-834 files.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with QNXT and/or Facets.
  • Member enrollment experience.
  • Experience with Clarity - ID card-related configuration and member eligibility processes.
  • Experience with Medicaid, commercial health plans, and marketplace coverage.
  • Proficiency in SQL, HTML, and CSS.
