About The Position

We are seeking a commercially driven and highly motivated Senior Business & Sales Manager to lead and scale our U.S. commercial function. This is a leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, managing and developing the Business Development team, strengthening strategic partnerships, and ensuring a high-performing sales culture across the business.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales management, business development, or commercial leadership roles.
  • Strong experience managing and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving commercial targets.
  • Strong background in direct sales, pipeline management, and customer relationship management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong CRM, reporting, and sales forecasting experience.
  • Ability to motivate teams, drive accountability, and improve performance.

  • Experience within ecommerce, compliance, SaaS, fintech, tax, logistics, or professional services environments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, mentor, and develop the U.S. Business Development team, including BDOs and BDAs.
  • Provide clear direction, structure, and accountability across all sales activities and KPIs.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, coaching sessions, performance reviews, and development planning.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance culture focused on growth and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Head of Client Success & Partnerships to ensure alignment between sales and client retention strategies.
  • Drive new business revenue growth across all service lines.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to improve conversion rates, outbound activity, and overall pipeline performance.
  • Support and oversee negotiations, proposals, and commercial discussions for high-value opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and expansion within existing client relationships.
  • Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets are achieved.
  • Maintain oversight of pipeline forecasting, sales reporting, and commercial analytics.
  • Ensure CRM systems, reporting tools, and sales databases are maintained accurately and consistently.
  • Improve sales processes, lead management workflows, and operational efficiencies across the department.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, Operations, and Marketing teams to improve client experience and internal effectiveness.
  • Assist in the development of outbound sales initiatives, lead revival campaigns, and strategic growth projects.
  • Monitor KPIs and reporting metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with partners, service providers, and key stakeholders.
  • Represent the business at industry conferences, networking events, webinars, podcasts, and ecommerce events.
  • Support partnership initiatives and referral opportunities to drive business growth.
  • Work closely with Marketing on campaigns, outreach strategies, and sales enablement materials.
  • Act as a strong ambassador for the company within the ecommerce, compliance, and international expansion sectors.
  • Support the management of key client relationships and assist with escalations where required.
  • Ensure a consistently high standard of customer engagement and commercial professionalism across the team.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and contribute to wider strategic growth initiatives.
  • Provide regular reporting and performance updates to senior leadership.
  • Support the development of scalable sales structures, processes, and long-term commercial strategy.
