About The Position

The Emerging Payments & AirKey organization develops and maintains innovative payment experiences for Capital One customers, including digital wallets, virtual card numbers, merchant checkout experiences, spend management capabilities, such as subscription management, and new commercialization opportunities. The Emerging Payments Strategy & Analytics team drives all of the analytical and strategic work across the organization, including enterprise-level strategy, product-level strategy, strategy execution, monitoring, reporting, ad hoc analyses, insight generation, marketing campaigns, testing and experimentation, business cases, valuations, etc. As a Senior Business Manager on the Emerging Payments Strategy and Analytics team you will help build and then lead an analytical marketing function that spans across every product in the organization, in addition to core strategic projects. You’ll lead a team of analysts generating insights to identify new opportunities, building business cases, owning testing and experimentation, driving our marketing strategy, and quantifying the value of initiatives and products. You will communicate complex concepts in compelling and actionable ways to senior audiences, and not be afraid to roll up your sleeves to understand critical details when needed. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 3 years of experience performing quantitative analysis
  • At least 3 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
  • At least 1 year of experience performing people management
  • At least 1 year of experience performing project management

Responsibilities

  • Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One in the face of shifting consumer and regulatory behavior
  • Have an ownership mindset, and potentially P&L accountability for a business segment.
  • Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product level modeling/analytics
  • Lead direct to consumer marketing efforts for select products, and strategic intent for products distributed through various channels. Build targeted insights to inform the design and development of new customer experiences, as well as breakthrough technology and concepts designed to deliver on new go-to-market strategies
  • Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting drivers of future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis
  • Coordinate across the line of business to manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently
  • Work closely with colleagues across Capital One including: IT, Sales, Operations, Finance and others to drive improvement in quality, volume, service, and profitability
