Senior Business Intelligence Engineer
About The Position
The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer develops, implements, and maintains data models, reporting structures, and analytics solutions to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role enhances business intelligence capabilities through insightful reports and dashboards and collaboration with business stakeholders to generate actionable insights and optimize performance. It ensures data is presented clearly and efficiently in support of organizational strategic goals. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The position is identified as onsite through the listing tag “#LI-onsite.”
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrable ability to quickly understand new concepts and develop original solutions to complex issues.
- Experience using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau to create standard dashboards and reports.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating effectively with business stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects.
- General knowledge of industry or business operations relevant to the role.
- One year of experience with T-SQL.
- One year of experience with Power BI.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data models that provide a foundation for business intelligence reporting and analysis.
- Develop data structures that enable efficient querying and aggregation of large datasets and align with business needs.
- Build and maintain interactive, user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards for business leaders.
- Translate business requirements into analytical models aligned with organizational objectives.
- Ensure reporting and analysis data is accurate, consistent, and meets organizational quality standards.
- Evaluate and improve data models, reporting processes, and analytics workflows to meet changing business needs.
- Stay current on business intelligence industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Automate repetitive reporting tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Provide business users with guidance and resources to support data-driven decisions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
