About The Position

Yanfeng is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst - Advanced Quality Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards, reports, and data models to support Advanced Quality, launch readiness, and supplier performance. The analyst will translate business questions into analytical frameworks, KPIs, and data visualizations to enable early risk identification and corrective action. Responsibilities include performing trend analysis, root cause analysis, and predictive analytics related to quality escapes, launch issues, supplier readiness, and PPAP/APQP milestones, while ensuring data accuracy and consistency. The role also involves supporting Advanced Quality activities for product launches, establishing customer scorecards, and developing early warning indicators for launch risk and quality performance in partnership with Quality and Program teams. The analyst will serve as a trusted analytics partner, presenting insights to various audiences, gathering requirements, and mentoring junior analysts. Proficiency in AI and analytics tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Excel is required, along with the ability to integrate data from various systems. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
6–8+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data reporting roles.
Demonstrated experience with AI tools (e.g., Power BI) and relational databases (SQL).
Strong experience developing dashboards, scorecards, and executive-level reporting.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Travel Ability – 50%

Nice To Haves

Experience in the automotive industry, particularly within a Tier One supplier environment.
Familiarity with automotive quality systems such as IATF 16949 and PPAP.
Experience supporting manufacturing, quality, supplier, or product launch organizations.
Knowledge of predictive analytics or advanced data visualization techniques.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data models supporting Advanced Quality, launch readiness, and supplier performance.
Translate business questions into analytical frameworks, KPIs, and data visualizations that enable early risk identification and corrective action.
Perform trend analysis, root cause analysis, and predictive analytics related to quality escapes, launch issues, supplier readiness, and PPAP/APQP milestones.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and traceability across multiple systems and data sources.
Support Advanced Quality activities across product launches, including APQP/PPAP status tracking, launch readiness metrics, and gate review milestone reporting by developing scorecards and metrics to track supplier quality, process capability, and compliance to established customer and Yanfeng KPI targets.
Establish customer “green sheets”/ customer scorecard targets and assist in early monitoring of issues and scorecard issue avoidance.
Establish early warning indicators for launch risk and quality performance in partnership with Quality and Program teams.
Provide data-driven insights to support escalation and prioritization during launch and post-launch stabilization.
Serve as a trusted analytics partner to Advanced Quality, Supplier Quality, Program Management, and Operations leadership.
Present insights, trends, and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership.
Gather requirements, challenge assumptions, and propose analytical solutions aligned with business priorities.
Mentor junior analysts and support best practices for data governance and visualization standards.
Leverage AI and analytics tools such as Power BI, SQL, Excel, or similar platforms.
Integrate data from ERP, QMS, supplier portals, PLM, and manufacturing systems.
Support data governance, KPI definitions, target establishment and tracking and standardized reporting across the Quality organization.
Drive continuous improvement in reporting efficiency, automation, and analytical maturity.
