About The Position

This role is part of the EGRC Data & Reporting team and is responsible for executing and supporting the Non-Financial Risk Data & Reporting strategy. The analyst will manage assigned reporting initiatives with multiple stakeholders, implement development best practices, create efficient solutions, maintain documentation, and ensure the overall technical functioning of processes. The position requires producing specialized reporting packages, dashboards, and scorecards for businesses, focusing on understanding objectives and delivering insights for product design, customer engagement, account management, and business decision-making. The role involves using various methodologies to generate impactful interactive visualizations, leading initiative implementations, conducting analysis for enhanced BI to inform management, and creating complex BI reporting packages using data infrastructure, DataMarts, and external data sources, transforming them into visual stories. The analyst will identify and propose data presentations to meet evolving business needs, build basic layouts and templates, validate data quality and integrity, develop insightful commentary, and provide ad-hoc data extracts. They will adopt and evolve report automation and visualization standards and may act as a subject matter expert to provide advisory services on data visualization techniques.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred (e.g., math, physics, engineering, finance or computer science)
  • Graduate's degree preferred with either progressive project work experience or 3+ year of relevant experience; higher degree education and research tenure can be counted.
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization/reporting tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, etc.) - including performance tuning, best practices, etc.
  • Knowledge of Azure Ecosystem - both technical and process/governance/controls
  • Managing various stakeholder's expectations while gathering requirements, development cycles, and day-to-day operations
  • Experience in automating manual reporting workflows
  • Experience developing and planning data visualization and data lineage and documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • A proactive and highly motivated individual who will take initiative and work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of GenAI, Copilot (i.e. Power BI, Github) is a plus
  • Working experience in Databricks, SQL, Python, Synapse, GitHub to create efficient, effective, and automated data pipelines and workflows
  • Capable of working in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Produce specialized reporting packages, dashboards and scorecards for businesses, with focus on understanding objectives and delivering insights for product design and development; customer engagement; account management; and business decision making.
  • Use various methodologies to rapidly generate impactful interactive visualizations or tools.
  • Lead the implementation of initiatives in support of overall business/function strategy.
  • Conduct analysis to provide enhanced BI to inform management leadership team.
  • Create complex and comprehensive BI reporting packages and dashboards utilizing data infrastructure, localized DataMart's and external data sources and transform into visual stories using appropriate systems to support client objectives.
  • Identify and propose data presentations to meet evolving business's needs; utilize various technology/ applications/ methodologies to rapidly generate impactful visualizations.
  • Build basic layouts and templates to be utilized by internal partners.
  • Validate the quality and integrity of the data included in the Reporting Packages and Dashboards
  • Develop meaningful and insightful commentary/ insights on new and existing reporting packages.
  • Work with business partners to understand business objectives and develop value-added reporting and provide ad-hoc data extracts.
  • Adopt, implement and effectively evolve report automation and/or visualization standards.
  • May as a subject matter expert, to provide advisory or consultative services for supported colleagues and/or businesses regarding multi-format data visualization techniques
  • Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies that relate to activities for our business area.
  • Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information and all matters of confidentiality; escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Ensure business operations are in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements (e.g. financial controls, segregation of duties, transaction approvals and physical control of assets)
  • Participate in cross-functional / enterprise / initiatives as a subject matter expert helping to identify risk / provide guidance for complex situations.
  • Conduct internal and external research projects; support the development/ delivery of presentations / communications to management or broader audience.
  • Conduct meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs/ policies/ practices.
  • Monitor service, productivity and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process / performance improvements where opportunities exist.
  • Lead / facilitate and/or implement actions / remediation plans to address performance / risk /governance issues.
  • Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines, corporate and/or control functions and ensure alignment with enterprise and/or regulatory requirements.

  • Expert knowledge of all main data sources for the data used within the business unit and ability to effectively utilize these data sources for reporting purposes.
  • Experienced professional role providing specialized data visualizations to support business needs.
  • May be expected to have a knowledge of broader enterprise reporting platforms and data sources and ability to integrate data across the enterprise.
  • May be expected to present to senior management or executives.
  • Oversee and/or independently perform tasks from end to end.
