About The Position

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for managing and growing strategic customer relationships within postal organizations, with a strong focus on parcel processing automation and system integration. This role drives revenue through strategic account planning, new business development, and cross-functional collaboration, while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and long-term partnership. The position requires strong commercial acumen, deep operational knowledge of parcel processing environments, and the ability to translate customer needs into innovative, data-driven automation solutions that reduce manual labor and operating costs.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in parcel automation business development, parcel systems sales engineering, or a related field
  • Deep knowledge of parcel sortation systems, parcel processing technologies, and package processing facility operations
  • Proven experience managing customer accounts and driving strategic growth initiatives
  • Ability to independently originate, develop, and close complex opportunities from concept through award
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to oversee, review, or develop parcel automation system layouts and solution designs
  • Advanced proficiency with CRM tools such as Salesforce and experience managing forecasts and pipeline reporting
  • Knowledge of automation technologies and their application in material handling equipment
  • Self-motivated, well-connected mindset with the ability to contribute strategically to company growth in the U.S. market
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth through strategic account planning, execution, and pipeline development
  • Serve as the primary customer contact, managing relationships and resolving issues in collaboration with internal teams
  • Lead proposal development, ensuring parcel system layouts and solutions align with customer requirements
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with PMO, Engineering, B&P, and Service to deliver end-to-end parcel automation solutions
  • Identify new business opportunities through market research, industry insights, and customer engagement
  • Build and maintain long-term customer roadmaps aligned with shared strategic and commercial goals
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, and sales reporting within required timelines
  • Act as a strategic liaison between customers and internal technical and commercial teams, managing risk and escalations as needed
