About The Position

Exentec is seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Senior Business Development Manager – Cleanroom Envelope to drive growth across key high-tech markets including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, semiconductor, battery, aerospace, healthcare, and other advanced manufacturing sectors. In this role, you will lead business development and technical sales activities for Exentec's cleanroom envelope solutions, identifying, developing, and securing project opportunities from early design through contract award. You will collaborate closely with EPC contractors, end users, engineering teams, and supplier partners to position Exentec as the preferred cleanroom solution provider.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Process Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and industry experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cleanroom construction, HVAC systems, controlled environments, advanced technology facilities, or related industries.
  • Proven success in business development, technical sales, bid management, project engineering, or project delivery.
  • Experience selling engineered systems, modular construction solutions, capital equipment, or turnkey projects.
  • Strong understanding of cleanroom technologies, controlled environments, and GMP/FDA-regulated facilities.
  • Strong business acumen with an entrepreneurial and growth-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to engineers, project managers, executives, and clients.
  • Excellent relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Structured and data-driven approach to opportunity and pipeline management.
  • High level of professionalism, initiative, and customer focus.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional, and multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with EPC contractors, industrial end users, or general contractors is strongly preferred.
  • Existing industry relationships and professional networks are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities across pharmaceutical, biotech, semiconductor, battery, aerospace, healthcare, and other advanced technology markets.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with EPC contractors, general contractors, consultants, owners, and end users.
  • Monitor regional and national project pipelines, including industrial expansions, public tenders, and government-funded initiatives.
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and technical workshops to position Exentec solutions early in the project lifecycle.
  • Develop market intelligence and competitive insights to support business growth strategies.
  • Collaborate with customers to define project requirements and develop tailored cleanroom envelope solutions.
  • Partner with engineering and design teams to prepare technical proposals, conceptual layouts, and project cost estimates.
  • Present value-engineered solutions, commercial proposals, and lifecycle cost analyses.
  • Support project risk assessments, contract reviews, and commercial negotiations in partnership with business leadership and legal teams.
  • Drive opportunities through the sales lifecycle from qualification to project award.
  • Work closely with engineering, procurement, operations, manufacturing, and supplier partners to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure solution feasibility and competitiveness.
  • Contribute to supplier qualification efforts and strategic sourcing activities.
  • Provide customer and market feedback to support continuous improvement of Exentec products and services.
  • Support business unit leadership in developing and executing regional and market-specific growth strategies.
  • Represent Exentec at industry conferences, trade shows, customer events, and networking opportunities.
  • Drive consistency in sales processes, CRM utilization, pricing strategies, and commercial best practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to customers and internal stakeholders on cleanroom technologies and industry trends.
