About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager/Sr Engineering Services Account Executive to drive growth within our Life Sciences vertical. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, expanding strategic customer relationships, and driving revenue growth by selling engineering and technology services to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and related life sciences organizations. The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders, delivery teams, automation specialists, systems integration teams, and technical experts to identify customer challenges and develop solutions that create measurable business value. This is a consultative sales role requiring experience selling engineering services, industrial automation solutions, systems integration services, smart manufacturing solutions, operational technology (OT) services, or digital transformation services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience within the Life Sciences industry.
  • Proven experience selling Engineering Services (not products).
  • Experience selling one or more of the following: Industrial Automation Services, Systems Integration Services, Smart Manufacturing Solutions, Operational Technology (OT) Services, Manufacturing Digital Transformation Services, Engineering Consulting Services, Software or Technology Services supporting manufacturing operations
  • Demonstrated success developing new business and managing strategic accounts.
  • Experience leading the full sales cycle from prospecting to contract execution.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and networking abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling into pharmaceutical manufacturing, biotechnology, medical device, CDMO, or CRO organizations.
  • Knowledge of Industry 4.0, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), automation, validation, process controls, or digital manufacturing.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering and technical delivery teams.
  • Established network within the Life Sciences industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for the Life Sciences industry.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, CDMO, CRO, and related organizations.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and executive leadership teams.
  • Generate and maintain a healthy sales pipeline while achieving revenue and growth targets.
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and solution discussions both virtually and in person.
  • Drive new logo acquisition and expand existing customer accounts.
  • Own and manage strategic, focused, and target accounts within the assigned territory or industry segment.
  • Develop account plans and growth strategies to achieve annual sales objectives.
  • Identify customer business challenges, strategic initiatives, buying processes, and future project opportunities.
  • Establish long-term relationships that support account growth and customer retention.
  • Work closely with engineering services, systems integration, automation, BI, operations, and technical delivery teams.
  • Align customer requirements with company capabilities and service offerings.
  • Participate in solution development, proposal creation, and sales presentations.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, manufacturing technologies, automation solutions, and digital transformation initiatives within Life Sciences.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage opportunities, accounts, contacts, and activities.
  • Collaborate internally using Microsoft Teams and other sales enablement tools.
  • Track and report performance against sales objectives and KPIs.
