About The Position

The Senior Business Development Manager, Technical Ecosystem is responsible for expanding and accelerating adoption of SanDisk consumer flash storage solutions across host platforms, device manufacturers, silicon vendors, and ecosystem partners. This role reports to the Director, Ecosystem Product Management and serves as a technical business lead, bridging commercial strategy, partner relationships, and technical enablement. You will work closely with global Technical Marketing Managers (TMMs), Product Management, Engineering, and Sales to ensure SanDisk technologies—such as microSD Express, SD, USB, and portable SSDs—are designed‑in, validated, and commercially adopted across key ecosystem segments including imaging, gaming, mobile, compute, and emerging devices.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in business development, ecosystem development, or technical partnerships within consumer electronics, semiconductor, or storage industries
  • Strong understanding of consumer flash storage technologies (microSD, SD, USB, portable SSDs) and host device ecosystems
  • Proven experience working with OEMs, silicon vendors, platform providers, or ODMs
  • Ability to engage credibly at both technical and business levels
  • Experience collaborating with geographically distributed technical teams

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience working closely with Technical Marketing, FAE, or Systems Engineering teams
  • Familiarity with industry standards bodies (e.g., SD Association, USB‑IF, PCI‑SIG, JEDEC)
  • Experience supporting global ecosystems across APAC, EMEA, and Americas
  • Background in gaming, imaging, mobile, or compute ecosystems

Responsibilities

  • Own strategic and tactical business development for assigned ecosystem partners, including host device OEMs, chipset vendors, platform providers, and ODMs.
  • Drive design‑wins, platform inclusion, and reference adoption of SanDisk consumer flash storage products.
  • Identify ecosystem gaps, partner needs, and technical barriers to adoption; translate these into actionable engagement plans.
  • Build and maintain trust‑based relationships with technical and business decision‑makers at partner companies.
  • Act as SanDisk’s primary ecosystem business interface, coordinating commercial discussions while ensuring technical alignment through TMMs and engineering.
  • Support joint roadmapping, partner planning, and long‑term ecosystem alignment.
  • Work hand‑in‑hand with Technical Marketing Managers across regions (APAC, EMEA, Americas) to:
  • Align partner requirements with SanDisk product capabilities
  • Support compatibility testing, validation, and qualification efforts
  • Ensure consistent technical messaging and partner enablement globally
  • Ensure partner feedback flows back into Product Management and Engineering to inform roadmap and ecosystem priorities.
  • Execute the ecosystem strategy defined by the Director, Ecosystem Product Management, focusing on adoption, scale, and market readiness rather than early‑stage exploration.
  • Support expansion of new standards and technologies (e.g., microSD Express) by aligning commercial incentives with technical readiness.
  • Identify opportunities for co‑marketing, joint announcements, ecosystem showcases, and industry events.
  • Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure ecosystem engagements translate into revenue‑impacting outcomes.
  • Support GTM readiness by ensuring partners are technically enabled and commercially aligned ahead of launches.
  • Provide regular updates on partner status, risks, and adoption progress to leadership.
