About The Position

PCA is seeking an established Senior Business Development Consultant – Beauty, Consumer Goods & 3PL to help identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the beauty, cosmetics, skincare, wellness, consumer packaged goods (CPG), and related retail industries. This is an independent contractor consulting engagement designed for an experienced business development professional who already understands the 3PL marketplace, has relationships within the beauty and consumer goods industries, and knows how to turn opportunities into revenue. The ideal consultant is entrepreneurial, highly connected, commercially minded, and motivated by the ability to directly participate in the value of the business they bring to PCA. We are particularly interested in individuals who have experience selling sophisticated logistics and fulfillment solutions and who understand the operational challenges faced by growing and established beauty and consumer brands—including omnichannel fulfillment, DTC distribution, retail compliance, inventory visibility, product launches, subscription programs, warehousing, transportation, and scalability.

  • Demonstrated history of developing and closing significant new business
  • Established relationships within beauty, cosmetics, skincare, fragrance, wellness, consumer goods, CPG, retail, or related industries
  • Experience selling 3PL, warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, or supply-chain solutions
  • Understanding of omnichannel fulfillment, DTC operations, retail distribution, warehousing, transportation, inventory management, and retailer compliance
  • Ability to sell complex solutions to founders, CEOs, COOs, supply-chain leaders, operations executives, and other senior decision-makers
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, relationship-building, and closing capabilities
  • Experience responding to or developing RFPs, RFQs, proposals, pricing strategies, and commercial solutions
  • Experience using CRM systems and maintaining an active opportunity pipeline
  • Ability to independently develop opportunities while collaborating effectively with internal operational and executive teams
  • Candidates should be comfortable working with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar systems, Microsoft Office, virtual collaboration tools, and other business-development and logistics technologies.

  • Leverage existing industry relationships, professional networks, market intelligence, and direct outreach to identify brands and companies that could benefit from PCA’s logistics, distribution, fulfillment, and related capabilities.
  • Work with prospective clients to understand their business requirements and develop customized solutions involving warehousing, omnichannel fulfillment, e-commerce and DTC fulfillment, retail distribution, transportation management, kitting, subscription fulfillment, inventory optimization, product launches, and related services.

  • Manage opportunities from initial identification and introduction through discovery, proposal development, negotiation, and execution.
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals, RFPs, RFQs, pricing recommendations, presentations, service models, and commercial strategies in coordination with PCA leadership.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of prospects, opportunities, activity, anticipated revenue, next steps, and business development progress within PCA’s designated CRM or reporting systems.
