About The Position

The Senior Business Architect works with Global Valuation in designing and implementing an end-to-end operating model delivering value aligned with corporate strategies. This role collaborates cross-functionally across Valuation, Operations, Finance, IT, and Admin to define standards and enable advancement and integration of RGA processes and systems. The position ensures data integrity and processes within the Valuation platform and with areas outside Valuation, and minimizes disruptions to the actuarial reporting process.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent related work experience required.
5+ Years technology-related experience, such as Business Analysis, Quality Assurance, Data Analysis, technology solution design/development.
Advanced SQL skills and intermediate Excel, Word.
Advanced verbal and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart domain knowledge and complex information.
Advanced ability to collaborate and liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines.
Advanced level of skills in customer relationship management and change management.
Advanced negotiating and persuasion skills.
Advanced level of investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Advanced ability to translate business needs and problems into implementable specifications and support the implementation of technical and business solutions.
Advanced ability to recognize and articulate process improvement opportunities and capability gaps.

Responsibilities

Implement change initiatives that are prioritized according to the business strategies.
Deliver enhanced business values through effective stakeholder engagement and organizational change management.
Engage with project managers, business analysts, users, designers, and developers to further understand the system and/or resolve system gaps.
Work with Valuation associates globally to support the adoption of enhanced business processes, system capabilities, and providing business support.
Develop an advanced understanding of RGA’s Valuation processes, data, and systems within and outside Valuation and ensure the end-to-end integration.
Partner with the quality assurance team to develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure system functionality.
Actively lead cross-functional efforts and provide constructive feedback to ensure that management strategies are properly incorporated into the overall architecture.
Engage IT resources to ensure business requirements are met and implement proper technical solutions aligned with business strategies.
Provide guidance and assistance to Business Architects.
