About The Position

Reporting to the Manager, Business Operations & Support, this role provides business operations and application support for Consumption capabilities and business processes in support of TD Data Cloud Platform. As the Senior Business Support Analyst; Duties will include operational and application support of TD Data Cloud Platform and manage a diverse portfolio of business application and operations management activities ensuring timely and effective business support for operations and application project delivery and change initiatives. This role will provides input on strategies, roadmaps, forecasts and support manage relationships with technology, business consumers. This role requires an individual with a high degree of personal initiative and strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal skills will be required to interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders and partners including Technology, Data Governance, Control Partners and Audit.

Requirements

  • Expert level professional role requiring in-depth knowledge / expertise in own domain / field of specialty and working knowledge of broader related areas

  • Expert knowledge of applications supported by the team including system components, functionality, interfaces, data flows, and business rules.
  • Expert knowledge of bank's PDLC methodology, business testing and project management
  • Expert knowledge and an understanding of business supported and broader organization
  • Expert analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex problems requiring analysis to solve complex problems requiring analysis of multiple variables, including consultation with multiple stakeholder
  • Uses advanced methods to contribute to new solutions and recommend standards against which others will operate
  • Leads projects of moderately to complex risks and resource requirements; may lead end –to-end processes of functional programs
  • Coordinates and prioritizes multiple initiatives
  • Subject matter expert and consults with clients and/or project teams and may be involved in assessments of potential projects
  • Works independently as the senior lead and guides other within area of expertise.
  • Experience working directly with data and the underlying usage.
  • Knowledge of data policy and governance principles
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form and bridge the gap between business users and their technical requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to facilitate details and manage multiple customers/LOB's at the same time.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build relationships across business and technology partners.
  • Willingness and curiosity to learn and adapt in a change-heavy, fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Azure experience is a benefit.
  • Working knowledge of Agile (SCRUM or KANBAN) methodology is an asset.
  • Some knowledge of SQL, Python, Excel is an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite, particularly PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft Power Platform is an asset (but not required).

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for intake of projects and major initiatives
  • Responsible for the documentation of all business owned artifacts that are required for projects and major initiatives as defined by the bank's Project Delivery Life Cycle (PDLC) methodology
  • Responsible for business process documentation for all business applications owned/managed
  • Responsible for day to day operations process management to ensure consistency, and delivery according to established SLA
  • Responsible for all Business Acceptance Test (BAT) documentation that is required for all projects and major initiatives as defined by the bank's project delivery methodology
  • Work closely with the Test Lead to ensure common testing standards and practices are followed and adhered to
  • Responsible for the execution of all BAT testing for projects and/or release maintenances
  • Responsible for working with Technology to establish a partnership and ensure all business requirements and Data Governance requirements are met
  • Provide support on deployment and change management for initiatives relating to applications owned / managed
  • Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Provide feedback and thoughts on possible solutions to issues/risks arising throughout the life cycle of a project, including adherence to enterprise application / data lifecycle practices
  • Identify and escalate risks that could impact project timelines or the quality of the deliverables to project manager and business owner, provide options and recommendation
  • Act as an escalation point for application and operation issues both directly and through internal/external business partners (including external vendors)
  • May provide project management support to various extents
  • Act as a decision maker on projects—responsible for getting input from the appropriate SMEs in order to make decisions
  • Accountable for adhering to the EPMO project management methodology
  • Ensure adherence to the Data Governance Framework
  • Ensure adherence to guidelines and regulatory requirements under Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and the Office of the Chief Data Officer
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships within the team and with key stakeholders
  • Continuously enhance knowledge/expertise in own area and keep current with leading-edge technologies trends/developments
  • Continuously enhance knowledge of business domains and their products/services
  • Support the development of business cases including benefits identification
  • Support and/or implement solutions that mitigate risk and maximizes the availability of service, efficiency and effectiveness
