About The Position

This position is eligible for telework on a hybrid basis, the employee must reside in the Helena area and be able to come into the office on a routine basis. No teleworking is available during a legislative session. The Legislative Branch participates in E-Verify to confirm employment eligibility. After accepting a job offer and completing Form I-9, your information will be submitted to the Department of Homeland Security and Social Security Administration for verification. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 6 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent amount of education and experience.
  • Must reside in the Helena area.
  • Able to come into the office on a routine basis.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (or equivalent) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Works directly with business program managers and Legislative Branch staff to analyze and understand business operations and processes.
  • Uses this understanding to develop business case justifications for technology advances and expenditures.
  • Oversees the analysis, development, implementation, and maintenance of medium-scale and large-scale information systems.
  • Manages and/or participates in IT projects.
  • Coordinates training to improve technical competence of staff.
  • Works closely with the Operations Services Manager to ensure technology change recommendations fit the existing or planned IT infrastructure.
  • Works with Information Services staff to resolve functional users’ technical support needs.
