As a supervisor in an IT Senior Specialist classification, the successful candidate will also receive a 5% supervisory differential pay on top of their base salary. This senior business analyst leads a team of BAs in entry, journey, and senior level classifications to support enterprise IT solution development. This working supervisor is the first point-of-contact for new solution requests for the agency and performs project management for small and mid-sized IT projects. Managing a broad set and high volume of work, the ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills, strong communication skills and the ability to handle challenging situations and competing priorities. All HCA employees will apply an equity lens to their work, which may include but is not limited to all analyses of core business and processes. The Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) division develops and provides all information technology (IT) services and solutions throughout the Health Care Authority (HCA) and externally with partner agencies including, but not limited to: DSHS, DOH, Health Benefits Exchange, LNI, DOC, and DCYF. ETS has hundreds of solutions, applications, and databases in its IT portfolio. This position reports directly to the Enterprise Architecture Program Manager and serves as a business analyst (BA) supervisor for the ETS team including entry, journey, and senior BA positions. In addition to supervisory activities for the team, this position serves as the senior BA for activities related to new IT solutions requests from across HCA, ETS projects, and is responsible for ensuring the quality and capacity of the ETS division to meet the needs of business divisions. The position works collaboratively across the enterprise with various stakeholders to provide quality business analysis deliverables to business units and works closely with ETS service owners and managers. This position is eligible to telework and is typically not required to report on-site. The default assigned work location of all Health Care Authority (HCA) positions – both on-site and telework eligible positions – is within the State of Washington. This position reports to Olympia, WA. Frequency of onsite work will vary based on business and operational needs. All agency employees are required to report on-site in Olympia on their first and last days of employment to pick up and return state-issued equipment, regardless of telework status or location.
