A proactive and highly analytical Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for leading the optimization of HR and payroll operations across North American manufacturing facilities. This role serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for ADP payroll and workforce management systems, driving end-to-end process improvements, leading system integrations, and ensuring compliance, scalability, and operational efficiency aligned with business objectives across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico payroll and time management functions to align with the business goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5-8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in HR, payroll, and/or time and attendance systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP payroll products and ADP Workforce Manager is required.
  • Experience managing ADP integrations with enterprise systems and data mapping.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of payroll regulations and workforce management practices in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
  • Strong understanding of time and attendance systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and reporting tools (e.g., ADP Reporting, Power BI) is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with manufacturing workforce scheduling and labor tracking.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Oracle Cloud HCM) and their integration with ADP.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements (e.g., FLSA, ACA).
  • Familiarity with time and attendance / timeclocks.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/French) is a plus.
  • Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP, Agile) is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for team member discussions and business partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert (SME) and system owner for ADP payroll systems (e.g., ADP Workforce Now, ADP Enterprise V6, ADP Celergo) and ADP Workforce Manager.
  • Support payroll operations and time tracking across multiple manufacturing sites in North America.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and ADP to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and ensure system integrity.
  • Support time and attendance compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local labor laws across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
  • Support payroll compliance with federal, state/provincial, and local labor laws across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
  • Support payroll audits and reporting using ADP reporting tools.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of integrations between ADP and enterprise systems, including: HCM → ADP: Employee data synchronization for payroll processing. ADP WFM → ADP: time tracking integration to payroll system(s). ADP → Oracle EPM: Payroll journal entries and GL mapping. ADP → Microsoft Power BI: Payroll analytics and dashboard reporting.
  • Manage API-based and file-based integrations, ensuring data accuracy and security.
  • Define integration architecture, data flows, and governance standards in partnership with IT.
  • Coordinate with IT and vendors to troubleshoot integration issues and optimize performance.
  • Lead requirements discovery sessions, define business capabilities, and translate complex needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to improve payroll and workforce management processes.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams.
  • Analyze current payroll and workforce management processes and drive improvements tailored to manufacturing operations.
  • Identify, prioritize, and drive implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance, and user experience across payroll operations.
  • Own end-to-end delivery for system upgrades, enhancements, and implementations.
  • Define testing strategy (UAT, regression, parallel payroll validation).
  • Ensure successful deployment and adoption.
  • Support data mapping, system integrations, and automation initiatives between ADP and other HRIS platforms.
  • Maintain process documentation, training materials, and user guides.
  • Mentor junior analysts or support knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Drive standardization of processes and best practices.
  • Influence roadmap decisions for payroll and workforce systems.
  • Operates with a high degree of independence, making recommendations and decisions on system design, integrations, and process improvements with minimal oversight.
